From 2016 to 2018, I studied abroad at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, USA. There was a grand piano in the clinic, and talented people from all over were sitting there and showing off their skills. Additionally, there was a picture of a couple jogging along the beach on the stairs for staff at the hospital, which made me feel cheerful when I went to work. Going to the clinic can often be painful due to waiting times and treatments, so I wanted to at least install a vending machine with a handle that would make people feel cheerful.
After talking with Mr. Orie from Okinawa, a vending machine designed by Mr. Orie was finally installed.
We had heard that people in the hospital wanted cold drinks, so we wanted to install it as soon as possible, but because we were particular about the design, the installation was delayed.
The background is inspired by Minsa pattern from Okinawa Prefecture, and the hibiscus flowers will brighten your mood just by looking at them. Please enjoy the pictures of the vending machines when you visit.
