I worked as a cardiologist at Tomigusuku Central Hospital from 2011 to 2016 and at Nakagami Hospital from 2019, and will now open a clinic in Chibana, Okinawa City in January 2024. I would like to thank you for introducing me to patients with cardiovascular disease during my tenure.
When I moved from the southern part to the central area, I realized that there were a lot of patients in the central area, and I felt that the outpatient department was a burden. The cardiovascular outpatient department of a general hospital is overflowing with patients. We have enhanced our cardiovascular outpatient functions and are currently preparing to collaborate with the cardiology department of a general hospital. Heart failure is a disease that requires repeated hospitalization and hospitalization, and requires a back bed. On the other hand, the number of patients with heart failure continues to increase, and general hospitals alone are over capacity. We feel that there is a need in the region for a cardiovascular clinic that specializes in outpatient functions and cardiac rehabilitation (a clinic that functions as a hub for heart failure treatment).
