What is cardiac rehabilitation?
Cardiac rehabilitation is an important program for people with heart disease to recover their physical strength and return to a healthy life. After receiving treatment for myocardial infarction, heart failure, angina pectoris, etc., we aim to prevent recurrence and improve quality of life (QOL) by providing appropriate exercise and lifestyle guidance. This will be rehabilitation covered by insurance.
At our clinic, we offer semi-personal and group cardiac rehabilitation (aerobic exercise with hip-hop dance).
You can take advantage of the outpatient waiting time to receive exercise guidance in conjunction with your hospital visit. You can also aim to improve your heart disease management by establishing an exercise habit at home while visiting the clinic.
semi-personal
In the semi-personal type, a cardiac rehabilitation physical therapist works with 1 to 3 patients in the morning (10:00-12:00) from Monday to Friday. Do ergometer, bodyweight training, and stretching. Your doctor will prescribe the load intensity, evaluate your heart rate and fatigue level (Borg), and create a menu.
group rehabilitation
There will be 2 lessons on Wednesday afternoons (14:00-15:00, 15:00-16:00). 4-6 participants can enjoy aerobic exercise by stretching to the music, with steps tailored to the participants, and the speed of the music.
- Do I need to prepare?
-
No special preparation is required, but please come prepared and wear clothes and shoes that are easy to move in.
- I've never exercised before?
-
It's okay even if you've never exercised before. Appropriate aerobic exercise is useful for managing heart failure, so please feel free to participate even if you are afraid to exercise because of heart disease or are embarrassed to exercise because you don't have a habit of exercising.
- How can I participate?
-
If you have heart failure, angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, or peripheral arterial occlusive disease, you can participate and should see a doctor.
